1960's Pattullo Jo Copeland Silk Hourglass Dress with Beaded "Belt"

"Pattullo-Jo Copeland" label. A matte black silk faille-crepe. Fitted, hourglass shape with hobble like skirt hem. Styled with bateau neckline, cap sleeves, fitted waist with slim skirt. Magenta silk inset at bodice/waist has a belt feature, and a large buckle decoratively covered in glass beading. There is shirring or pleating at waist, so skirt is not super tight fitting around tummy, just at hem. Dress is lined beautifully in black silk, and fastens with back nylon zipper. In very good condition: the fabric that goes through the buckle could use a good pressing, 1/8" seam stress at under arm seam.  A striking dress and so nicely made. Size small. 1960's I Magnin Silk Chiffon Occasion Gown

"I Magnin & Co" label. Floral printed silk chiffon over an ivory crepe lining, very pretty back details. Styled with scoop neckline, cap sleeves and an empire waist. The waist is decorated with a matching velvet "belt".  The sides of skirt are decoratively pleated,  back skirt has decorative center pleating, and the belt is finished with a bow. The colors are off-white back, with violet, teal, pale green and butter yellow. The lining is done in rayon crepe. Gown fastens with back metal zipper. Excellent condition. Size small-medium. 1960's Linen Dress with Beaded and Embroidered Raised Bows - Mint

"Created by Westover New York" label. Mint condition, like new. Lemon yellow shift style dress has pretty raised bows on front, four of them are outlined in darker yellow embroidery with embroidered centers, the fifth is outlined in white beading. 1950's Frank Starr Silk Taffeta Sculptural Evening Gown

"Frank Starr Original" label. A pale petal pink gown of silk taffeta with gorgeous pleating and sculptural details. Fitted bodice, with slightly full skirt. Bodice has asymmetrical detail at neckline, and pleating around midriff and waist. Skirt is gathered-up and pleated at left side done by ruching, with pleating at right side as well. Due to decorative pleating, hem is also asymmetrical. Gown is lined in sheer rayon chiffon in matching pale pink. To keep the shape of pleating and sculptural details at waist to hip area, there is an under crinoline attached at waist that is about 10" long and fairly stiff, lined in a muslin fabric with cloth covered wire hem. These are details you do not find in a department store or even boutique currently. The finishing touch is a self fabric flower at left bust, with a dangling loop, and cording that is fastened down for a stem look. There are decorative leaves at end of "stem" and a little beading for sparkle. The gown is in very good condition. The only flaws are a 1 1/4" gray smudge at side of gown under hip level, and some snagging to the skirt fabric that appears as long, fine lines. Size small.
