1950's Emma Domb Chiffon Gown with Pleating Detail

"Emma Domb" label. This gown is made of either rayon or nylon chiffon in mustard with yellow on bodice. The dress is lined in matching acetate taffeta, the skirt has three layers: top chiffon over matching netted crinoline over a final layer of taffeta. Bodice has V shaped panel with two colors of chiffon pleated from below center bust up to shoulders, front to back. The dress fastens with back metal zipper and aside from a single pin head size hole in chiffon on back of dress near zipper, it looks hardly worn and very clean. Size medium. 1950's Jersey Cocktail Dress with Decorative Pleating

"Maggie's Desert Sun Fashions" label. Brilliant violet blue rayon jersey fabric feels much like silk, very nice quality. A very form-fitting hourglass style cocktail dress with lots of pleating across the torso and lovely sleeves. Dress is lined in rayon and fastens with back metal zipper. In good condition, the lining is intact but is very spotty-probably from moisture. Dress has two faint spots on left shoulder, one faint spot over left bust, and a more pronounced drip spot on lower front skirt. Dress was cleaned prior to spotting, but not since. Size small. 1950's Lace over Taffeta Dinner Dress with Chiffon Detail

"Neusteter's" label. Mocha brown lace with silver metallic threads. Sweetheart neckline, cap sleeves. Fitted waist, with lower W shaped waist seam. Full skirt. Lace is over perfectly matching taffeta. There are two pleated brown rayon chiffon panels that hang down from waist to hem at back skirt. Dress fastens with back metal zipper, skirt is gored. The only thing wrong with this dress is a hole the size of a baseball on lower left front skirt, right above the hem. Possibly could be altered out by raising the hemline. Also, dress should be cleaned before wearing. Size small. Dress measures 15" shoulder to shoulder edge, 36" bust, 26" waist, 38" hips, 16" shoulder to waist. For a larger view click here. 1950's Satin Gown with Sequins

No labels found. What a pretty color of dark berry pink- almost red but not quite. Made of rayon satin and lined in a white stiff facing fabric for shape. Fitted bodice, wide pleats at waist, full skirt. Decorative panel at neckline with pink and berry sequins design. Fastens with back metal zipper. Aside from needing to be pressed, it is in excellent shape, hardly worn, but has small dark smudge at back hem on one of the pleats on back skirt. Size small. 1950's Silk Print Dress - Needs Small Repair

No labels found. A nicely made dress of silk shantung with bright floral print. Sweetheart neckline, fitted with full skirt. Bodice is lined in black silk. Skirt is not lined. Side metal zipper. In good clean condition, it has an opening at the waist seam that was partially crudely repaired, needs to be redone, and I believe the waist was let out at one time. size small-medium.
